San Francisco Floral Designer: Bouquets To Art

Bouquets To Art at the de Young Museum has been going on all week and today is the final day. It used to be held at The Legion of Honor, but has been at the De Young since it's renovation and opening 5 years ago. I have been an assistant for my friend for the last 4 years, but this year I was so excited to have had my own spot and to be a part of this wonderful exhibit. It has been a tradition in San Francisco for 26 years. It is a week long show featuring 150 floral displays interpreting the museum's permanent collection. It starts off with an opening night Gala and there are classes and high teas all week for people to enjoy. Put it on your calender for next year, because it is so special to see the beautiful flowers in the museum, as you stroll about and admire the art!
I would love to post all the Floral pieces, but here are a few of my favorites.

This is my piece and the artist is Jacob Lawrence

Hi there! Thanks for posting this. I've always wanted to see this in person. Maybe next year a trip out west is in order. Great blog you have. Looking forward to seeing more!

Great thoughts you got there, believe I may possibly try just some of it throughout my daily life.
